I can say that in Sweden, sending Christmas cards is all but dead. We only get three per year and all from friends outside Sweden: the UK, the Netherlands, and Belgium from very close friends and my cousin. What you do get if you leave your phone on all night on Christmas Eve, is a million “merry christmas” messages from all your contacts. We turn our phones off until about noon on Christmas Day.
